28th Annual Accent on Architecture Gala: April 13, 2017

The 28th annual Accent on Architecture Gala was held on Thursday, April 13th, 2017, at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC.

Thank you to our generous sponsors for making the 2017 Gala possible.

The Accent on Architecture Gala is an unparalleled annual national event that recognizes and celebrates excellence in architecture and design. Each year, the Gala brings together more than 500 national and global leaders in design, government, business, and education to honor outstanding colleagues in the field. The Gala is made possible through sponsorships and contributions from AAF’s generous supporters.

At the 2017 Gala, AAF honored developer Forest City Realty Trust with the Keystone Award for their contributions to the built environment through forward-thinking projects around the country.

Marilyn Jordan Taylor, FAIA, Professor of Architecture and Urban Design and former Dean at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, received the George M. White Award for her commitment to bettering communities through design.

AAF also honored Dallas Mayor Michael S. Rawlings with the Joseph P. Riley Award for Leadership in Urban Design.

Proceeds from the Gala directly support the work of AAF and its three international design centers, which provide design leadership and sustainability programs to leaders in architecture, design, education, public policy, urban planning, and historic preservation.
