Design for Learning at the Texas Association of School Boards’ (TASB) Large District Leadership Forum

November 21–22, 2013, in Austin, AAF’s Design for Learning led a design charrette at the Texas Association of School Boards’ Large District Leadership Forum. The focus was  on creating a 21st-century urban campus.

In this demonstration session moderated by AAF President & CEO Ron Bogle, a team of nationally recognized school design professionals led education leaders from a large Texas school district through an intensive design process focused on an actual facilities project in its early stages of development. Attendees witnessed the process of conceptualizing a responsive and innovative space and can interact with participants as the design discussion takes place. The demonstration was followed by a wide-ranging question-and-answer session between the audience, architects, and educators about school design issues.
