The 57th Mayors’ Institute on City Design in Charleston, SC



The Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD) will convene its 57th National Session on October 16–18 in Charleston, SC. MICD founder, Charleston’s Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr, will host the Institute. Fellow mayors are scheduled to attend:

Mayor Alvin Brown of Jacksonville, Florida
Mayor William C. Collins of Summerville, South Carolina
Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson of Gary, Indiana
Mayor Mark R. Holland of Kansas City, Kansas
Mayor Patrick O. Murphy of Lowell, Massachusetts
Mayor Anna M. Peterson of Salem, Oregon
Mayor Mike Spano of Yonkers, New York

Resource team members from top design firms and influential, city-minded organizations as well as leaders from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), American Architectural Foundation (AAF), and the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) will join the mayors in Charleston next week.

MICD is a National Endowment for the Arts leadership initiative in partnership with the American Architectural Foundation (AAF) and the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM). AAF and the MICD partnership would like to thank United Technologies Corporation for its continued support of the program.
