The American Architectural Foundation convened the seventh national session of its Sustainable Cities Design Academy October 2–4, 2011, in Philadelphia. City leaders, developers, and design professionals representing projects from Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Atlanta joined national sustainable design experts for an intensive three-day design workshop. Through SCDA, AAF works with participants to formulate action plans for their projects while providing the design leadership training and technical assistance needed to address the specific design challenges facing their cities.
